Teresa Oehlinger: My partner and I visited Nuuksio for one night and stayed in one of the cottages. The perfect place to stay in the middle of nature - we loved the whole camp site! The bath rooms and beds are good; basic, yet decent breakfast is included, as well as bikes. Unfortunately, we had such short stay so we didn't get the chance to go cycling and neither use the great outdoor kitchen to cook a meal, nor the sauna. Kai is such a lovely host, he welcomed us very warmly and we had a comfy afternoon on the porch, playing guitar, singing and having tea!We definitely want to come back and stay longer next time!Thank you very much for everything again, Kai!Teresa & René

D Gex-Collet: Nuuksio Hostel and Camping is a wonderful place to relax and connect with nature. It is equipped with all the necessary facilities (toilet, shower, outdoor kitchen), and the host, Kai, is amazing. He helps out wherever he can, is great company, and will even sing and play a little song at the campfire if challenged to do so! The nature is stunning, with vast, wild forests and idyllic lakes. On one of our hiking trips we even found ourselves staring into the furious eyes of a wood grouse defending its territory! A rare sight, our host told us. This place is a must-go for anyone who seeks a proper time-out.

* Krause: Während unserer Fahrradtour durch Finnland landeten wir auch auf dem schönen Platz von Kai. Kai ist ein sehr netter Finne, der auch gut deutsch spricht. Wir hatten eine sehr gute Zeit da, Duschen im Freien war ein besonderes Highlight, demnächst gibt es aber auch einen extra Sanitärtrakt, der war gerade am Entstehen. Die Hütte (man könnte auch im Zelt schlafen) war ausreichend groß, die Betten in Ordnung, der Preis ebenfalls und seine selbst gebaute Küche im Freien ist kultig. Kai organisiert auf Wunsch auch Outdoor Aktivitäten, davon konnten wir aber nicht Gebrauch machen. Frühstück war etwas mager, es gab nur Kaffee, Brot und Margarine, wenn man das weiß, ist es aber ok, da kann man sich etwas kaufen vorher für obenauf. Die nächsten Restaurants und Supermarkets sind ca. 2,8 km entfernt, wir sind entspannt dahin gelaufen zum Abendessen.

Elisenda Lara: Nuuksio Hostel and Camping is a very special place. The facilities of the camping are ecofriendly 100% and offer a reconciliation with the nature. For example, the summer kitchen runs only with fire and there are dry toilets. After one day walking around the national park, it was very confy to go inside the small wooden cottage and light a fire. And, thanks to Kai's sleeping bags, I didn't feel the cold inside the tent.The location is very good, you can go walking to the Nuuksio National Park. Kai will recommend you the best route and also secret shortcuts that are very useful.Kai is very kind and talkative, I spent a very good time in the camping and I strongly recommend it if you want to go deep into nature and to experience what life was like before electricity.
