An oasis of peace and tranquility in a world gone bonkers.The best book shop in all of Finland.The very high ceilings and the expertly designed and installed lighting means that this is truly a book lovers paradise. The seating is soft and comfortable and inviting. The WiFi is fast and excellent and free!The selection of books and magazines is off the charts! Anything you could possibly hope to find in a boom shop can be found in this one.Oh, and the staff, well the staff are the pièce de résistance!

Álvaro García: Espectacular bookshop in the centre of Helsinki. Great variety of books and genres. I went twice during my stay in the city and bought two books in English.
Ryan Adams: Wasted a trip to buy a book that was advertised online as being available in-store. Do better.
Chapel1917: The mere fact that they have index/note/flash cards earns this place a five star rating. Those things are harder to find than a sober Finn on Juhannus. But that's beside the point. It's a very impressive bookstore once you get use to Finnish prices (which I haven't).

Jonathan Lasham: Great selection of books but the store is not great for disabled people. If you need to use the elevator and would like to shop on both floors, you need to go to the cashier and pay for your items, then leave the shop, go in the elevator, and enter the shop again and pay for your items separately. At busy times this adds a lot of extra time.I would understand if there was only one elevator, but there is an elevator within the store, but it is locked for staff. I asked a member of staff to unlock the elevator, and she said she couldn’t, and I need to use the outside elevator instead, and pay for the items “so you don’t steal them”.
