4worldlovers: Hive Helsinki is a free coding school that gives you a fast-track path to a future-proofed career. There are no teachers, lectures, or books at Hive. Instead, you learn coding together with other students and work on practical, real-life projects. No previous coding experience or qualifications are required. The Core Studies last on avarage 1 to 1,5 years.

Coding is a high demand skill with endless possibilities. Our higher-education level studies are designed to unlock your potential, whether you aspire to work in top tech companies, solve big problems in the world or create your own products and services.

Anyone can apply. We only ask you to be at least 18 by the time you start in the Piscine (Hive's version of an entrance examination) or that you have completed comprehensive education in Finland or EU.

There are no teachers or classes at Hive. Instead, students work on coding projects together at the Helsinki campus. Students seek and share knowledge through teamwork, while solving real-world problems and supporting each other along the way.

Our proven curriculum covers fundamental coding languages, starting from C. There are over 100 projects available, covering different paths of specialization in computer science: algorithms and AI, UNIX, systems and administration, graphics and more.

A diploma doesn’t make a good coder. Problem-solving skills, creativity, determination and teamwork do. At Hive, you will be challenged to think outside the box, tackle real-life problems and collaborate to achieve goals. Valuable skills in any career.

The first step is an online game that will test your logical thinking. No experience or degrees are required. If you do well, you’ll get invited to an immersive training month called the Piscine (Swimming Pool), where you’ll jump into the deep end of coding and get a taste for the program.
